Created by Dr. Crystal Abitz, PhD

Wiggly Kid was created by combining child development, nervous system regulation, movement, and practical wellness tools to support children and families.

Dr. Abitz is a devoted wife of a USMC retired combat veteran and mother of 3 young children who like to move their bodies— not to be disruptive, but as their way of exploring and learning. She quickly realized her wiggly children were frequently being labeled as “too silly” or “too sensitive” or “fidgety” or “high energy.” With her background and professional experience, Dr. Abitz wanted to help her children and their teachers learn and understand how to embrace the wiggles when appropriate and regulate when necessary.

We invite parents, educators, and others to enjoy our materials and share them with the wiggly children you know and love. Let’s work together to celebrate intellectual curiosity and physical movement.
